You can't really beat the Depot for a good time but Marquee comes pretty close! The upstairs dance room is great, I love dancing up a storm to those groovy tunes with my glow stick moving to the beat. And the crowd there is HOT to trot!

Awesome Hens night on 6th August...just recovered...us girls in tutus and
tiarras...we were princesses all night and the guys treated us like

Marquee was very average, glad I only paid 5 dollars to get in. While I had a
good time it was only because my friends were around and I was somewhat UTI.
It's the kind of club that those who don't really club go to. The drinks are the
same prices as places like billboards but billboards can charge that much cause
they have an awesome club. The crowd is a mix of everything, older people and
heaps of hens night ladies. Lots of older people!!! Weird old men. Not my kind
of club, but each to their own.

Also went to Marquee on the same night. It was, as normal, packed to the
rafters. There was a big group of us, and all had a great night. Some preferred
the older crowd downstairs with the tacky retro, others preferred the younger
crowd upstairs for the commercial stuff. Great fun!

Been slack writing reviews recently...
I went to Marquee the other week on a Saturday and it was huge. Paul, who is
really fussy about clubs came along, and had the best night he's had at a club
in years. He loved the fact that there was something for everyone, and the
people weren't snobby. He loved that at 29 he felt like he fitted in, but there
were a few 18 year olds, heaps of 25 year olds and some 30 year olds. He loved
the daggy 80s music downstairs and the current tunes upstairs. He understood why
I always have a great time there.

Massive crowd, they had to turn back the three nightclub tour buses that arrived

i would recommend the marquee club. i have only been there once a couple of
weeks ago. downstairs there is a bar and they play retro all night. upstairs 1
room (quite small) 2 bars play sets of RnB and dance all night. the crowd seemed

Bozza, yes. Marquee + birthday = good, especially on Friday if you take up our
birthday offer (menu right) of a drinkcard. It fires up 10.30/11. No club likes
big groups of guys, but mixed should be okay. Downstairs crowd is 25+ for retro
and pub tunes. Upstairs is 18-25 for top 40, classics, and current dance tunes.

Big night for parties after a long day on Saturday, but after it all, I ended up
back at Marquee for Mikey's bucks night. HUGE!
Marquee was absolutely packed. I arrived at 11.30ish, and there were massive
queues everywhere. Inside was just jam packed. I'm used to Marquee being busy,
but this was insane.
Unbelievable atmosphere both upstairs and down. Everyone was celebrating. Just a
magnificent night.

Finished off the night at the Marquee. Boy, was it busy. I arrived there at
about 3, and it was a full house. You just couldn't move inside, well you could,
but you know what I mean.

Sim, Marquee is two clubs in one.
Upstairs is very mainstream. Mostly current dance tunes, with the odd favourite
thrown in. DJs Matty G and Piero are mad. The crowd upstairs is aged 18-25ish.
Downstairs is retro. All the best and worst pub and club hits from the 70s and
80s. Heaps to sing along to. The crowd downstairs is mainly 25-35.
Its packed on both Friday and Saturday at the moment. I tend to arrive at 3am,
at which time it is packed. Apparently it hots up around 11.30, and stays that
way until after 5am. Its open until 7.

I've been going to Marquee for years now and the last few weeks have been busy.
But they need to do something about their air. It absolutely roasted in there
and stank the whole joint out, otherwise it is a down to earth crowd, not
classy, and downstairs rocks! The crowd used to be a lot older when i started
going, now it seems younger, or is it because i'm 5 years older than when i

Went to the Hawthorn, Elephant and Wheelbarrow St Kilda and Marquee last night.
Hawthorn was packed, havent been there for so long. Really young, good looking
crowd but I still cant believe that place closes at 1am! E.A.W was also
happening. They had the fires on so it was soo nice and cosy:p great place to
catch up with friends. Got to Marquee around 3, still pumping and when we left
at 6.30 there will still people partying. Great night as always. Would recommend

Can't remember the last time I arrived at Marquee before midnight. It was
enormous!
It was especially packed upstairs where DJ Chris G was rolling out a fun mix of
'90s and current dance favourites. Good looking crowd up there too.
Downstairs was packed too, with DJ Sam hitting you with the '70s, '80s & '90s
classics. A little bit older downstairs, but a great atmosphere throughout. It
was just going off all night.

Was at the Marquee on Saturday having a wild time with my girl friends where we
saw Adam & Fiona from the block. They were so nice, chatting and having drinks

Marquee was fascinating late on Saturday. All sorts of people there, from the
regulars to those partying after the D+D ball. Very friendly and happy crowd;

Just enormous at Marquee late, and apparently early too. It keeps getting
bigger. I arrived to a full house at 4.30, but it had been like that from before
midnight. You don't expect so many 23-35s to be out that late!

Marquee was simply massive on Saturday. Arrived at 3.15am to see one of the
biggest queues ever! Word is that it had been like that since early in the
night.
Packed to the rafters inside too. All sorts of people and types with ages from
20-30, mostly mid-late 20s, and hot to average. There were hints that it was a
full moon, but it was all good.
Downstairs Sam was on fire with some of the best (and daggiest) retro of all
time. Upstairs, Chris was going off with everything ‘90s onwards.
Awesome atmosphere that just went all night. One of the best nights ever at
Marquee.

Hadn't been to Marquee for a while. It hasn't changed. It stays busy late, with
a crowd that is primarily 25-30 dowstairs for the retro and 20-27 upstairs for
the commercial stuff. Great for those who have to keep partying on.

Okay, so I've been tracking in to Marquee heaps, but why not. It is busy, and
busy late. Saturday was the busiest I've ever seen it, and the best type of
crowd I've seen there (Hi to Sophi - hope I spelt that right). Both rooms were
open and still packed after 5.30am.
Daggy retro, perfect for 23-30s downstairs (although I can't believe Sam played
Nookie). Commercial and classic upstairs with Chris G, and ideal for 20-30s.
Its a great place to be on Saturday, and the perfect place to finish the night.
Best hotdogs in town too.

Managed to leave Marquee before sunrise for the first time ever. Arrived about
3.20, and it was going very strong. Definitely a great place to go after your
regular venue closes at 3, if you're looking for something mainstream.

Marquee was enormous on Saturday. Between the racing crowd, the change in
daylight savings, and everything else, it was huge. By the time we arrived, it
was confusing because we'd lost an hour to daylight savings, so it was packed at
what was once 4 (or 5?). They stayed late too.
Reasonable type of crowd too, for that time of day (whatever time that was!).

Marquee was packed late on Saturday. With its 7am license, we often end up there
late to finish off the night. Both levels were packed when we arrived somewhere
around 2.30. Retro (Sam)downstairs, and a mix of current and recent favourites
upstairs (Chris G).
The crowd age varies, downstairs late 20s, upstairs a touch younger.
Definitely worth a look
