Passionfruit Pulp are no longer the resident band (27.6.02)
Venue has changed DJ after he was the for 9 years. New DJ (special K) is great
wonderful mix of RnB, Top40 to all the party classic. Passionfruit Pulp are the
resident band and being a high energy band is great to watch

Note: Load have replaced Tarko.

The thing I like most about the Sommie on Thursday nights is the bands get changed on a fairly constant basis every six months or so, and the DJs music (The Danceman) can change from week to week depending on his mood, from alternative to the latest up front dance with everything in between. Since he's been there a long time (about 8 years) he works the room and the crowd really well.

At the moment they're in the middle of renovations (to be finished some time in May) and will relaunch with a great new look. At the moment Tarko are on the bill and they rock with the best of them. The door is free before 10pm and get there early for dinner and live entertainment in the public bar from 8pm (Rob and Tarquin). Add some really cool drink specials, it definitely rates as one of my fave nights.
