I hear that the electronic dancefloor has left the Rumours building and the
venue is being cleaned out. Metrik are starting at Furnace Saturday week. Sounds
like thats all folks.

Heres the latest goss. Metrik are leaving Rumours and starting at FURNACE next
Sat night. They start at Furnace on July 2nd. These guys are a gr8t band and
always put on a gr8t show. Cant wait to see them on a big stage. Everybody get
down to Furnace when the boys start so we can make it the best Sat night in the
burb's.

Damien, the venue is in volutary administration. They are likely to continue
trading but may change hands. They were open at the weekend and are likely to
stay open.
Metrik are said to be moving to Furnace July 16 (according to their website &
Furance). Not sure when they finish at Rumours.

Rumours was the destination last Saturday. Fairly busy. Front room dancefloor
was full early for the commercial stuff, but most of the crowd were there for
Metrik, who have moved beyond their "best new band" award last year. They were
great on Saturday.
Very young crowd. Dress standard could be improved, but it was a friendly bunch.

it's heaps of fun to go there with a bunch of friends and dance around without a
care in the world, and you always walk out with more friends than you walked in

The first time i went to rumours i was standing in the line with girls n guys
all around me & my friends i was a bit nervous on wat the people would b
like... but then i got in there and its like every1 is 1 big group... u go into
one room and everyone is in a circle watching the boys rave 2 awsome techno
music and the other room is full of people dancing to the top 40 greatest dance
songs! its great!! me n my friends have total different taste in music i mean
im punk n shes dance so we can go in there and enjoy ALL types of music... not
2 mention how hot the guys are :) hehe

11.12: Rumours Saturday
Went to rumours at knox last night and had a blast! The music was fantastic with
a mix of tunes in two separate rooms while Metrik rocked on stage! The bar staff
were really friendly and most importantly, it did not take long to get a drink
and get back out on the dance floor! Definitely will be coming back next week!

Swung by Rumours on Saturday. It was really good. We arrived at 10.30 and it was
already busy. Fairly good looking crowd, well behaved, and plenty of fun. Mainly
18-25 year olds.
Commercial top 40 dance and RnB in the front room, with the flashing disco
dancefloor. Plenty of lounges and pool tables in the side rooms, and Metrik
kicking on out in the back bar.
I was having a great time, so was totally shattered when my driver went soft way
too early.
Good music, crowd, band and atmosphere. It was great that it fired up early too.
Well worth a look.

I thought that Rumours was pretty good. I wasn't sure what to expect, but
thought it was okay. Good people there, far more respectable than that Irish
Bar. The band room was the place to be. That band are really good. It adds
somewhere good to go around this area.
