For those of you that haven't heard, Volt Fridays which was relaunched in May as
Flashback 80's is going off!!! There is about 600 people partying the night
away to all your fav's! The D.J Craig is a true professional at what he does
perfectly timing the mood of the the room. Most arrive at 10pm, with the band
"SCAT"starting at 11pm. $5 entry and well priced drinks all make the night an
inexpensive one. Also Saturdays the residency is ADAM 12 rocking the top 40
charts setting you up for one to remember. I heard there are some great promo's
on like 15 Minutes of Fame, Midori and also an underage in September.... See
you there!

NOTE: Since this review, Pean have headed off.

Well, we made the trek from Dandenong to Hoppers Crossing to check out the Volt (cause Pean were there, anyone surprised!!) This is what we thought of it:

It seems very much a local crowd, relaxed most of the people were there seemed to know quite a lot of others.

There is apparently a smart casual dress code, but most people were dressed in 'pubby' gear, neat but not what I would call 'smart casual'.

The crowd seemed reasonably young, I'd say most were in the 18-28 age group. It is a very small club and it didn't ever seem packed, but it didn't seem empty either, just a nice sized crowd!

Pean were playing so you had the band, we got there at 10.15 so we missed the first part, apparently they have a different band each week on at 9.30 playing original music. In between the bands was mostly techno with a bit of other stuff thrown in when requested.

The dance floor is small, as is the stage, but they fit the size of the club. The entire club seems new, I don't know how old it is but everything was very clean and shiny - which I think is a good thing.

It cost $5 to get in, and drinks were the same as most suburban pubs.

I think it's a fun place to visit and we will make the effort to trek over there again!
