Icon was great early for the 10th birthday bash. It was packed at 11pm.
They have some good stuff lined up for the next few weeks too. Good value for a Friday night.

Icon turns 10

One of the world's maddest parties is approaching its 10th birthday. Found at the top end of Flinders Lane, Icon is reknown for its flaming bar, dancing on the bar, and all that Coyote Ugly action. Its running hot on both Friday and Saturday again, and is certainly at the start of a new era. Jump on the guestlist for tonight.

Went for first time last week, Very impressed. Good crowd. Great music.
Excellent mix of house/R&B/retro they change up often to keep it fresh.

Icon firing: party central

A combination of bus ads on late night TV and Max Moose ads has Icon firing. Both Fridays and Saturdays are as good as we can remember them. It has a real party atmosphere with a flaming bar you can dance on, just like on Coyote Ugly. Jump on tonight's guestlist.

We read the reviews for Friday and headed down after a long day at work to check
it out.We loved the music and danced lots to all our fave songs.
Robyn who works there is a great chick who made our night lots of fun! Thanks
again Robyn!!
We met some guys who say they work at the hospital with us,but we're not so
sure...kind of got the feeling u werent telling the truth....maybe we are
wrong...but havent seen u around..We're on the 3rd floor and u guys said u are
on the 4th...

Finally had the chance to go to Icon, "the place to be" according to all of my
friends, and really had an enjoyable time. From when we first got there, the
very attractive door security greeted us like long lost pals, and made us feel
welcome. The venue was great, nice and cosy, and yet planty of room to move. As
a group of 6 girls, the security made sure that we were looked after. The bar
staff were great, nearly having more fun than us. Reasonable prices met by great
service, what else can you ask for? We all had a great time, and were even lucky
enough to have the security get us a cab. Definitely going back there, even if
just to perve at the security. :)

The music is great to dance to, cheap drinks ($2 spin the wheel), if ur feeling
confident or jst plain drunk u can get up on the bar and dance the nite away,
good crowd, cosy size venue.

Friday was a bit quiet around old Melbourne town. I think a lot of office people
had taken the week off after Easter, so were out of town on Friday.
Anyway, dropped into Icon. It doesn't change much. A real mixed age, afterwork
crowd in. They were partying away having a good time, especially dancing on the
bar.

Had a great night at Icon. It was primarily the after-work crowd (25-35) and
parties upstairs early. Later, the regular party crowd took over (more 20-30s).
It is always a very atmospheric venue, with plenty of people dancing on the bar
and so on. The crowd on Friday was especially bubbly, and the bar staff were
dancing everywhere. It was very hard to leave.

Word is that it was a bit quiet around the traps tonight, especially in the
city.
Icon was okay, but not its best. It didn't get busier 'til later, and the ratio
was average.
However, they staff there made it fun. Dancing on the bar, laybacks, and their
new trick, pouring lighter fluid on the bar and lighting it up, provided plenty
of atmosphere and entertainment.
