10 dollar entry = unfriendly, rude, no customer service skills, staff dont know how to smile or even say hello. Different rules for different nights. securtiy guards power tripping and no respect for human beings. Toilets need to be cleaned and smell like stale piss and ........surely the 10 dollar entry fee could provide us with atleast a smile. very disapointed and disgusted!!

TERS wat a HOLE!! seriously its only there for all the lil skanks and s trying to get a rute...i use to go there when i was under age thats how desperate they were to let people in... the only reason people go there is coz its close and people cant be fukd goin to the city... No-one with a rite mind gos there coz its a good place to hang out!! An the security is bull- i was goin to go in untill i saw 5security guards drag one guy out and one trying to break his nose...the guy was small im pretty sure there was no need for that many just security trying to think there tough c*%$*... Bring back FURNACE ters will neva be as good as FURNACE!! unlucky buddy who owns it!!

its close to home... thats about all thats good to it. the music is crap. the best they do is commercial house but its all outdated, the kind of stuff you listen to at daytime on the radio... the dj is shoitehouse and he doesnt dj, he just does fades songs into another and plays premixed songs... its only good because its close for the locals for a easy night out... the security guards are up themselves being mr king dick thinking they work for fort knox... $10 entry is a bit steep for a place like that... usually only a place to go to if you run out of options or cant make it to a decent city club.

Back to school night was awsome me n my girls lite up the floor in our really

really tiny blue skirt.the owner is awsome gave me n my girls free drink cards

1422 is the only nightclub styled venue in the district that will be open
tonight. They have coverband Sexual Chocolate playing partyband songs, DJ Albert
(Dakota & ex Hallam & Brass Monkey) playing a commercial mix, and heaps of pool

Popped in to 1422 last night, heard from a friend that it's apparently 'F%$#@*
awesome' lol, so I thought why not. I didn't think it was exactly how my friend
described it. It has heaps of potential and it's happening with the DJ and cover
band.. but you know what didn't do it for me, kids? The crowd .. I think 1422
needs to lift up the dress code and presentation. I'm not saying it because I'm
vain, i'm saying it because I think it's important to be presentable.I was
however impressed by the fantastic security guys and bar staff. What impressed
me even more was the band that played last night.. who are those guys? Does
anyone know, it wasn't Play-Doh, I know that because i've seen them before, but
these guys, man, very talented. Anyway, those were my two cents... I hope this
doesn't get scrubbed .. it's just an opinion, it's not a negative stab at 1422.

Yeah, the covers not so great if you can't use the free drink, but I still think
that $10 is a bit steep, especially for a suburban club. Perhaps they should
consider revising to $7 or something??? Or at least have that option for people
who aren't planning to drink? Overall, it's not a really a bad night. A great
improvement on the old venue, reminds me a bit of the Hallam... ah the good old
Hallam... anyway... Cheers to the guy that broke the bed Renee Henderson was
lying on!!!!

Shot down to 1422 to take some shots of Renee Henderson's visit. Plenty of
people happy to jump into the bed with her. Photos up very soon.
The nights there seem to be growing. Most of the people who saw it in its
previous life seem impressed. Claudia said she had a great night and liked the
new look. Shelle wasn't so happy with the $10 cover because being on her Ps, she
couldn't use the complimentary drinkcard.
Saw PlayDoh's regular line-up for the first time. They are not bad. Good play
list and they get the crowd going.
Overall, I'd say the night and venue are on the right track. The covercharge,
once you subtract the value of the free drink, is good value for a better than
average entertainment line-up.

Popped in to 1422 for the launch last Friday. The venue looks good. They've
removed heaps of pool tables and put in a more than decent dancefloor, and heaps
of couches. DJ Alby from the Hallam and Brass is the DJ, and PlayDoh were the
band. Unfortunately the regular singer was out of action, but they were pretty
good without him.
Many people have said it feels a bit like the Hallam. That's understandable. You
can watch the band, watch the big screen, play pool, dance, lounge around, or
drink at the bar. It might even be the spot for Thursday.
The crowd was primarly 18-22, but it will vary for a few weeks as people adjust
to the change in the venue. There needs to be a fair bit of adjustment because
the venue is different to how it was. The pics are now online, so take a look
for yourself.

Just got back from the opening of 1422. Not bad. It reminds me heaps of the
Hallam. Nice setup, easy going people, plenty of places to sit with friends.
I'll probably stick to Furnace on Fridays but 1422 will be my place on Thursdays
and Saturdays.

They have DJ Alby from The Hallam and Brass, and bands like Playdoh and
Passionfruit Pulp (they did Brass Saturday at the start when it was big on
Saturdays).

G-Train, its looking good. They're spending a fortune to split the old pool hall
in two, so the front half is a three room club and the back half will have a few
pool tables.
The area where they used to have karaoke will be loungy. The rest of the front
half will be a room, maybe a bit like the Hallam, with a stage and dancefloor.
The old lounge area will be a new lounge area. It should be good.
