reasoning for the massive queue at the loft on sun night was due to fire safety
restrictions, due to the fact it is a 'loft' there is only a certain number of
people they can have upstairs that, if a fire or other emergency occurs, can
exit the venue safely through the exits. My friends and i had an awsome night
there, and we always do. RNB music lovers should definately check it out.

For Ricky:
I went to the Loft for about half an hour on Aus Day and it was TERRIBLE. The
music was average; the crowd was agressive, and the queues were massive outside
considering the place was HALF EMPTY when you finally got inside. The loft
people should really pull up their game. Some people queued for 2 hours, got
upstairs and discovered it wasn't even full and they were just building a crowd
to make it look popular?? Loft is so not worth your time.

Brass Monkey
Haven't been getting out much lately. I was away for the long weekend, but had
to drop back home Sunday night, so swung by the Monkey for 15. It was an
absolutely awesome night. One right out of the box. Very busy, and a really
bubbly crowd. They made the most of the beach theme too.
I also hear that Star Bar and Wild Bills were simply massive, and that Bobby's
was extraordinary for the Monday night.

De Bier’s
there is a function on at de-beirs (flinders lane city) on sunday
night(Australia Day). Its a film party to promote an australian film companys,
(medallion independent) latest short film (with string on his finger) the
entertainment starts at at 7pm and goes through till midnight.
it should be a fun night! tickets are $14 per-sale more on the door. just
thought i might mention it!

Hi, Planning on going to The Loft on Sunday night, heard they play great r/b and
should be huge. If anyone has been there i would appreciate your thoughts and
comments. Also, has anyone heard any news on the Essendon Grand Hotel??? I heard
a rumour that it was closing??? Thanx
