Took a look at the launch of EurAsia. It was a different concept, with music
from all over the place, with everything from commercial stuff from local
charts, right through to Asian music and European House. The crowd was primarily
Asian and incredibly friendly. Everybody was talking to everybody. It wasn't
packed, but everyone that was there seemed to be having a really good time.
We'll keep an eye on it. (I think the photos are up)

Went to EURASIA on Friday night. It was opening night, and not too many people,
but the music was fantastic! Even the bar and security staff seemed to be
enjoying it.

This eurAsia night ought to be interesting. It is a unique concept, but those
who have been to clubs in Asia tell me it sounds good. It will be different to
anything in Melbourne, but is in the right part of town to be a success. I'm
curious.

I've been hearing about a new night planned for Fridays at the Mountain View
Hotel in Glen Waverley. We don't have full details yet, but rumours are that it
will be a commercial dance / vocal house night, with an international (including
foreign language) playlist. It'll be perfect for all the students nearby. This
is something different in Melbourne, and we'll be watching with interest.

The View on a Friday night is the place to be. The night starts off with the DJ
playing the coolest tunes then on come Guano, who are the best cover band i've
ever seen (and they are all really cute aswell), and to finish the live stuff for
the night is Slumberyard, which i think they have gone a bit ordinary! They staff
are great and not too bad to look at. All and all a great night to relax and have
drinks with mates

I genuinely enjoy Friday at The View more than other nights becuase of the range in music. The night starts with DJ Danceman playing some alternative, hip-hop, R&B, etc. Then Hype play accoustic from 10pm 'til 11pm, then DJ playing top 40, R&B, and dance until 11:45pm. This is when SlumberYard's first set starts, and if you've seen SlumberYard you know how entertaning they can be. The band plays two sets with DJ playing commercial, classic & upfront dance in between the bands set and afterwards until 3am.

The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is great ($3.50 bourbons all night) and, most importantly for me, there is room to move (courtesy of the renovations). Even if I didn't have to be there I would definitely choose this as one of my fav nights.
