Sorry for sending two of these in two days, but yesterday's lead story
became misleading after a huge Government backflip. Pick your favourite

Max Moose in its 10th year
For the rest of 2008, we’re celebrating our tenth year online. There’ll
be a big party in November. Our research suggests Max Moose is probably
the longest running club info website on Earth!
Did you know? Max Moose was the first club website in the world to do
club photos. We had to scan photos - no digital cameras back then.
Places to check out
The Drink Fridays have been back to their best following their huge snow
party & 2nd birthday.
Loft Saturday is smashing all records. Its full every week from 11pm. Great
night.
If you like RnB, DysFunktional at The Loft Fridays and Groovalicious at
The Watermark on Saturdays are definitely worth a look.
The Village Green (opp. Brandon Park) has been renovated & reopened.
Apparently its awesome.
Silk is a new Saturday night in Toorak. Reports from the opening night
were good.
Famous & Evolution close
That’s right, Famous is gone. It closed July 12th. It was massive for a
while but didn’t kick in 2008. It is being replaced by Infinity, a trance
night, from August 23. Good luck.
Evolution also closed its doors after eight years. It saw many big nights-
from RnB to electro to comedy to a cool Tuesday. We were there when the
planes flew into the World Trade Centre.
What’s your favourite spot?
Max Moose thrives on your comments. They let others know where its good.
Please take a moment to put a comment on our gossip page to let people

Brumby panics- bigger lockout threatened (write to MPs)
The Brumby Government has sunk even deeper in to dissarray over the
lockout. After announcing a "ceasefire" on lockouts on Monday, news came
through just after we’d sent yesterday’s Email, that they’re now
considering a statewide 3am lockout instead.
It appears that the Government has totally panicked under pressure as the
media confirmed the failure of Mr Brumby’s lockout policy. Now they’re
looking for a way to save it.
We urge you to write a letter. You can use our system to send your one
letter to every MP: www.maxmoose.com.au/2am.
Our opinion: No lockout. The only half-fair lockout would be at 4am so
there’s no point. 4am gives you time to travel in from a 3am venue in the
burbs. The real solution is more police, as opposition keeps saying, and
a big overhaul of Liquor Licensing. We also back suggestions to ban
trouble makers.
There’s more info on the 3am proposal here.
